Chit chat about the weather to start off, ask about their family, about Japan and family traditions and the culture of the country, favorite foods, how they're cooked maybe, favorites? Foods, holdays, ask if and or how they celebrate birthdays, Christmas. Ask about what they do for a living. People generally enjoy talking about them selves..........you'll do fine!!!!!!!!!!

Hahaha how funny I'm Japanese so I think I can help you here because my boyfriend who is white had a bit trouble trying to talk about things with my parents. Well since they can't speak English for shyt just ask normal questions like "how are you doing today" or just say "it's nice to see you again" or things like that. Don't make it a big deal or worry because you can't really speak to them, if only they understood english well like my parents it'll be soo much easier. Haha.

your plans for the future... Maybe if youre still in school you could talk about what you're studying or what you plan to do when you finish. Ask you girlfriend what you and her parents may have in common and bring that up. You could also ask whether they plan on doing anything exciting for the summer while it's so beautiful out (and kepp asking questions). Be polite and make it a little obvious you want to get to know them... that'll impress not only them but your girlfriend. But of course, they will be very interested in who their daughter is dating.. so don't leave any bad impressions

Ask them about their home country, Japan, and why they decided to move to America (if that's the case). Ask them what some of the more interesting places in Japan are to visit. Also ask about their culture and how it differs from yours. Ask what they like most about America, the town they live in, etc. Ask about their ancestors. If you run out of questions just talk about the weather.

They're just normal people, try and remember that. Compliment them lots, but don't over do it. Remember, people love to talk about themselves. Maybe ask them how they met. Overall, try to show a genuine interest in them. People like that.

WOrk , monet , future prospects, investments you have if any, degrees, doing well in scholl, how much you like their daughter and how happy you are going to make her.
Ask lots of questions about them. People always like to talk about themselves and like the folks who are interested.
