It would be nice to have a woman president. But I don't think it is essential. The question we should all ask ourselves the next time we vote for president is regardless of race, gender, religion, whatever else you can classify a person as is this person going to lead our country in the right direction? Are they going to provide an even better life for our children, how will our economy be. Can this person really be able to lead a world power and when in time of stress or when someone hurts our country will they lead us through the tough times. I would consider myself a feminist, but I just think we need a good strong leader who can help our country out and lead us in the right directions. Whether they are male or female or whatever it doesn't matter. As long as everyone is being treated equally by them I could really care less.

Yeah, I'd say so. We have a combination of a Republican President that is losing more and more popularity every day. At the same time, we have a potentially strong woman candidate - Hillary Clinton (you really didn't think I was going to say Condi Rice, did you?).

Even if Hillary turned out to be a catastrophic failure, I do not think she could do any worse that the W Administration.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!! If anything, America has shown brilliance and leadership qualities in every human life. I can name a huge list of qualities on so many female leaders, but what is still lacking is willingness to change the old ideal. The white well-connected, party supported man is the best canidate. BUT, I feel the change is coming! Give us 10 more years. Our next greatest president will be either a different color and\or gender!

Picking a president shouldn't be about gender. Its not a matter of "Is it time for a women president?" but rather a question of is this person right for the role. If the candidate is a female and the best choice for presidency then I'll vote for her. Otherwise I'm not going to vote for someone who isn't right for the role, simply because of their gender.

Proabably...but it won't happen for a long time. I'm sure there will probably be an African-American president before a woman president. The South won't let it happen.

No problem, but not Hilary. One for you, my neighbor, do you think it is time for Canada to stop being so liberal? I noticed that you elected a conservative parliament, and just raised the legal age of consent to 16. Who ever heard of 14 yr olds having the maturity to give consent to sex with adults? Well, other than Canada. 16 is awfully young, too. This is a free license to perverts and molesters to take advantage of children without repurcussion..And I thought that consent age laws were designed to protect young girls from evil bad men. Sorry to bring this up - I'm sure you are glad to see the age go up, too.

It would be nice if they did. We tried to have a woman Prime Minister remember Kim Campbell she was a disaster but there are much better women than her that could run this country and there are in the USA better than Bush for sure and Harper for that matter.

I would vote for the right woman.

I would not have a problem. It would probably be a good change.
