when i turn on the switch my pc will not boot instead i get a continous beep at an interval of 2-3 seconds what are the components that might be damaged?can it be the processor or memory cards?

beeps are coded to tell you where the problem may lie. You need to know what kind of motherboard you have to look up the code. Also you should pull all the peripherals, except the speakers and replace one by one to see what is causing the lock up.

Nine times out of ten it's RAM, put it could also be a corrupted Hard drive.

Fluctuations in power can also cause problems. However if the power supply was toast, it probably wouldn't be making any noise at all.

Do you get any warnings on the screen?

This is an error code from your motherboard. It could be many things. You need to find out what kind of motherboard is in there and search for error codes for that particular board.

if its not booting but ur getting the beeps of 2-3 seconds then its ur B asic input/output system or (BIOS).
