check me out...i am 15 years old and i know the answer (at least i think i do.) The Beatles is my favorite band and always will be. I have magazines from the 60's and biographies about the band and each member. So unless i am corrected, the answer is Dave Clark Five who were pretty much the biggest thing to hit Britain at the time who, until the Beatles came along, were considered the most daring providers of pop music to the public youth.
