Who is your favourite "American Idol" winner thus far? Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia Barrino, Carrie Underwood or Taylor Hicks?

I totally disagree with the first answerer. Carrie Underwood is original and more talented and not a copy of Kelly Clarkson. Carrie is a country singer. Kelly is more to pop. Carrie is nice while Kelly has some bad qualities. For instance in January this year, Kelly disallowed American Idol season 5 contestants from singing her song. Who does she thinks she is?! What does she think she'll become if it weren't for American Idol! Kelly is a snob! But... undeniably, Kelly is also talented and hot. I just dont like here snobbish character.

I really like Kelly Clarkson, then Carrie Underwood. I dont like Taylor Hick's voice.

Kelly Clarkson, hands down. She is the most successful out of the 'Idol' winners, excluding Clay Aiken because he was the runner-up. She definitely has the vocals and the way about her that gives her the edge over all the American Idols that have come after her. Breakaway was definitely the best effort by a female artist in 2005, and I guarantee that she will put out another sucessful album in 2006!

I loved Taylor from the start cuz you could tell the guy had music in his soul ...and I like Kelly, Ruben & Fantasia but Carrie, she's practical perfection in voice, grace and beauty ... something little girls should aspire to instead of the popular way these days, to sell your body, not your music ....

I would have to say Taylor Hicks. I didn't watch it the first year for Kelly...I was rooting for Clay the 2nd season...I did NOT like Fantasia the third season...I liked Carrie the fourth season...but I was rooting for Taylor from the very beginning. I love his passion for music and how he puts his all into every song.

Carrie Underwood.....and i dont really care for country music, but she is the best one so far. Give her a couple years and she is going to surpass Kelly big time. Fantasia has a good voice but her attitude sucks. Reuben....i dont remember him. Hmm.. isnt he the guy who beat Clay Aiken? Now Clay , i remember! Bo Bice is doing better then Reuben already. and Taylor... he is going to do well. he has been the most intriguing winner...did anyone expect him to make it to the top 2? not me.

Kelly Clarkson. She is the only one who has real talent. I think "American Idol" has run its course and should be discontinued. The voters are particularly stupid (remember the Jasmine Trias debacle?) and vote the best singers off early - Jennifer Hudson comes to mind. I no longer watch the show, and wish USA Today would stop promoting it and other so-called "reality" game shows.
