We've made it to the Round of 16 - can we go all the way? Given the performance a few days ago, Aussies could beat Brazil next time we play, so apart from Brazil, what team is the biggest challenge?

I love to dream and so does most of Australia,, but sometimes we must think with our heads not our hearts,, we ave exceeded a lot of countries expectations and to get this far is an enormous improvement from 12 months ago when we couldn't win a game to save our lives,, I know we get better with each game we play and Aussie Guus has a few more tricks up his sleeve,, every game from here on is a bonus we now go where no other Aussie team has been before. As for winning the bloody thing I think Brazil and Argentina may have something to say about,, But my friend we can dream can't we?

On a good day we can give any team a run for its money.
However, the world cup is more than a one-off game. It has a series of games with yellow cards and injuries that impact on players.
As much as it pains me, Australia do not have the depth to replace players who miss games due to injuries or red cards.
Experience under pressure is also a factor. So far in the WC the pressure has been on the other teams to win soon the Socceroos will start feeling the pressure/frustration.
Harry Kewell's outburst that almost made him miss the game against Croatia in which he scored the eqalising goal is a case in point - if he had not been there who would have replaced him ?
Go the Socceroos.

Australia. They can, just not this time.... They are the most improved team.. they have impressed many... maybe next world cup or after..
this time it's either Argentina, Brazil, or Germany..

Definitely, provided they get a fair referee for a change. They will probably meet Argentina, then the rematch against Brazil.

It would be Italy since that's the team they play next and because they have Totti and the Aussies don't!

Looking at the draw Australia can certainly reach the semi final. They must be commended immensely if they manage to go beyond that

Yes... if every other team (besides 1), gets blown away in a freak tornado/hurricane and you have to play Togo... in the final!
