There are some models that are built for the wireless providers. Cingular by-far seems to have the best offerings. Some listed below:
there is nokia with full size keyboard, but is tri-band.
Cingular has it's own model, which has slide out keyboard. Most of the interface is touch screen. Seems that it has decent calling experience. I think it is limited international, but should work in South America. you may want to check it up before buying.
Blackberry - there are 3-4 models that they offer...7130c, 8700c

Palm. Hands down far better than the Blackberry. Models with color cameras, where as Blackberry has no camera. Now in bed with MS so can run Windows apps and programs. Just an over all better product line and great customer support. I don't need anything that fancy, but I do have both a well worn battle scared Palm M100 that lately doesn't get much use do I also have a Palm Zire which I use daily. Fits in my shirt pocket and so I no longer have to carry my lap top around with me.
