I planted a rosebush early in spring and it is blooming
like crazy right now..I have a yellow bush rose that is
loaded with blooms, but they are not the nice kind of
long-stemmed rose that you give to someone. So, it
depends upon what you want. The rose bushes still
for sale right now look pretty sickly to me and picked-
over. Buy earlier. Most rose bushes for sale have a
picture attached as to what the roses will look like, so
look them over, find what you like, and buy.

I like climbing roses that fill my fence with their wonderful smell. Most of mine are pale pink and red mixed together. I would like to get some yellow ones. You have to ask for the climbing smelling kind. Here in Georgia I plant them in mid spring. Too hot in the summer to plant.

Early spring into mid summer. You need to have time for the roots to take hold before winter.
Whatever type you like the best. I like the ones that are almost black

Fall or winter or early spring. Try "Brandy" which is a beautiful and unusual color. Make sure you get a high quality patent speciman to get the true color of "brandy".
