good move. lol

anyways, i went through that myself so i know how tough it is.

what i would do if i were you is buy or check it out of a library and make notes is the book Color Me Confidant. i know how hard it is to blunder through these things by yourself so some expert help is great. that book is really awesome and it shows you how to apply makeup right for your face shape and how to dress so that you look your best. you know, all the girly stuff in life :-). another one would be anything from the Trinny and Suzanna series. they are incredibly helpful.
in the end, just get a book that you are confidant is right. then do what it says and you'll probably be just fine.
good luck!

First of all I hope you're doing this because YOU want to, not because someone else wants you to. Look for your most
distinctive feature - your skin, lips, eyes or freckles - and play it up. The most important thing is that you should stand out, not
your makeup. Start with neutral looking makeup. You do not need much makeup to make eyes sparkle. In fact, too much of the wrong makeup will take away from your eyes. Try experimenting:
Sheer, light colors and different textures such as shimmers work well. I don't know how you dress now, but if you dress with baggy clothes like most tomboys do I would say just start with more form fitting clothes. Try looking at some styles in a magazine that you like and then try to find some clothes that look kinda the same. If you don't know how to do your makeup you can always get it done some where. I suggest going to Ulta, they show you how to apply your makeup and tell you what colors look best for your skin tone and eye color. And it doesn't cost that much either, it's only like $30. If you want you could always contact me and I could give you some more tips. That way you can let me know what your style is now. Hope I helped!

The first step you could take would be to look through some magazines and find a look that you like. Take the picture to a store and have the salesperson help you pick out your outfits. Or......if you know of a classmate with a good fashion sense ask them to help. Once you've chosen your clothing the next step would be the hair. Go to a stylist and they will help you find a cut or style that will fit you. Some even have computer generated images. For you makeup go to one of the counters in the department stores like Dillard's, Foley's, etc.......and they will show you how to apply your makeup properly. My suggestion would be to find a mineral makeup like Sheer Cover or Bare Minerals. This makeup is all natural and you won't have to worry about it clogging your pores. It also good when you want to enhance your beauty but want a more natural look. Good Luck!!!!

Been there... you get the most impact by using mascara with a little eye liner for starters. Then try eye shadow and lipstick in subtle shades. Don't bother with base or blush unless you're going out in a dress! Capris are a good intermediate step. You can stick with t-shirts, but get them with a more feminine style. There's a lot to choose from. Check your eyebrows - make sure there are two!!

ask your friends over for a sleep over thats when girls do their hair and nails and learn to tease boys and also try an aunt or a younger rel;ative and if not ask mom or go to a make up make-over day at the mall in a nice store or ask the girls that work make-up in the walgrens and the other make -up areas they love to sell and turn out pretty girls with style and also maybe go to a hairdresser at a nice shop and ask ,,the whole place will help you and so see these are options

do not wear too much make up, just a little tinted lip gloss, mascara, and a little eye shadow should do the trick. wear something that is going to flatter your shape. make sure that what ever shoes or outfit you are wearing is comfortable because if you do not feel great you will not look great.

you shouldn't wear everything at the same time. Start with jeans and a girly shirt and not too much make-up, then as time passes you can start wearing skirts as long as you feel comfortable, the appropiate make-up for the appropiate ocassions, etc.

1
Make sure that you are changing only because that's who you are. Don't change for a guy or because you want your friends to respect you more, because you won't feel satisfied with yourself.

2
Get a feminine role model. When the person you aspire to be like is a feminine, graceful, intelligent woman, it's much easier to act more like a girl. Many girls find it more comfortable to act like boys mostly because the females around them are far from being worthy of being considered role models. Perhaps you don't like all the nonsense, fake behavior and obsession over appearance that are normally associated with being a girl; but there were still lots of great women who didn't possess all these traits and still didn't lose their femininity.

3
Mind your manners. Even though most guys don't mind if you burp, fart, slouch, and talk dirty, girls should be a little more civilized. It's not that hard to improve your posture, not curse, and be polite. Yes, even when with guys; you don't have to act disgusted by their bad manners, just don't copy them.

4
Be sweet. You may hate all things sugar-coated, but please make an effort and not be so rough sometimes. Your guy friends may love you precisely because you're straightforward and say everything that's on your mind, but that's not the best idea when you like one of them. Try sweetening your behavior: giggle instead of laughing out loud, compliment people instead of teasing them, greet people by hugging or kissing them on the cheek instead of shaking their hand. Smile more often. Pay more attention to other people's feelings; if you think that what you're about to say might hurt them, don't say it.

5
Be flirty. It may come in easier for you to be 'just friends' with every guy you know, but that makes other guys stop thinking of you as a potential girlfriend. Are you sure that's what you want? Small, innocent flirts are actually welcome.

6
Don't Change if unnecessary. You really don't have to change for a guy. You shouldn't change for any reason besides you wanting to, because that's not fair to you. You obviously should become girly if you want to, but that's it.

Make sure you want to change. Be ready for anything you have to do. It doesn't mean that you have to give up your sport, just be more feminine.

Don't call guys "dude" or "man".

Don't be afraid to make friends with girls too. If your guy friends don't want you too, you should be honored because they want to keep you to themselves, but if it gets too annoying, tell them that you can be friends with whoever you like. They're guys, most guys get that. If they get annoyed at you for that then they probably aren't very good friends.

Make sure you like what you wear. It doesn't matter how cute the clothes you have on are - you have to look comfortable in them to pull them off.
