The more often the better! Without knowing your exact setup, it is hard to say. Any litter box cleanings should be done at least once daily, but twice a day would be better. My ferret cage is in my bedroom and I clean the litter box in the morning and before I go to bed at night. The ferret loves a clean litter box! Blankets and hammocks should be removed for cleaning in a week or so, toys as needed depending on what type of toy and where the ferret plays with it. Yes, your fuzzy may need an occasional bath but be careful not to overbathe, as this will increase the natural scent glands that the ferret has - even a descented one - and it will smell stronger. Use a gentle soap for bathing, ferret shampoo is commerically available but I prefer baby wash and just a little. Your ferret will appreciate a nice clean cage and lots of time outside it to play - use a harness if you can't easily make a room or area "ferret resistant" (I don't think there is any such thing as ferret PROOF, ferrets are like small and very curious little toddlers and always into everything!) Good luck!!

I myself have a ferret. The litter needs to be scooped daily. The cage I usually freshen up by cleaning the floors and bars with wipes every week. At least twice a month you will probably have to wash the ferret's bedding, hammock, toys, etc. Every month or so I take the whole cage outside and hose it down and clean it. Giving your ferret a bath might also reduce the smell ;)

It all depends on what you mean by change....the liter box should be cleaned out once a week unless you have one or More ferrets...then you might have to change it more....but if you have one ferret with the bedding...it all depends on how the ferret treats the bedding (pooping) does it poop in the liter box things like that....every ferret is different you go by on how dirty your ferret is

Ferrets can be trained to a litter box... my ferret ran loose in the house just like a dog or cat and he used his litter box. Nikita liked his in the corner of a room... he would back up in the corner to do his business like it was private! So try a litter box in the corner of his cage and it will be less of a chore when it's time to scoop!

In my experience, a cage with one ferret, still needs to be cleaned weekly, to prevent fece buildup and unnecessary stench. Unless you have a corner litter box for your ferret, and he sucessfully uses it, then only that needs to be changed, and the rest of the cage doesn't need to be bothered with unless you think it is needed.

If they have a litter box clean that everyday. you don't need to use litter because they will poop all over and it will be a pain to clean. You should scoop litter everyday, along with giving fresh food and water, clean the plastic and metal bars once a week. Or more often if really bad. Toys should be washed once a week and towels changed everyday.

Once a week or sooner when it starts to smell. You don't want to leave it & get used to the stench & then have friends come over & be grossed out.
