Nothing is wrong with loud. But (and this has happened to one of my close friends before) you can play it so loud that your neighbors complain and call the police. Then you can get a fine for disrupting the peace or something like that. Hope that helps!

There is nothing wrong with loud so far as it is not too loud to damage your hearing.
You should however remember that "no man is an island unto himself" so you should learn to accommodate the comfort and wishes of your neighbours.
Life is all about balancing your individual rights and wishes with those around you. If we didn't do that we will end with a brawl whenever 2 habits/lifestyles/wishes clash

Nothing if youre in a soundproof booth and youre the only one hearing it or if everyone else wants loud too but since you don't live in a vacuum-respect the privacy of others and play softer.

I will tell you what I was told when I was younger and I wanted to do that very thing you are doing.
"Your freedom ends precisely at the point when it interferes with the freedom of your neighbor"
Translation: You cant do anything you like without thinking of others. Its selfish and is rude and you will not get away with it most of the time. Sooner or later, you will have to pay a price. Respect is key in having a civilized environment. Get yourself a pair of headphones and connect them to your amp. That way only you will hear what you are playing.

other people have to live and listen to it, and its unpleasant to them. You need to be more courteous, not everyone shares your interests. Try some quality head phones for your amp. They will help provide you with as natural a sound quality as possible. And try playing a little quieter if you're not using them, unless the house is empty, or its mid day and not a time when people are sleeping or relaxing.

Maybe it doesn't sound good. Playing it to loud is annoying.

there is nothing wrong with it. but i wish i would have turned it down all those years because i now have hearing damage and nothing sounds as good anymore. and i am constantly asking people to repeat what they say, plus the ringing in my ears drives me crazy especially when I'm trying to go to sleep.
