Absolutely!
In fact the new wireless standard, 802.11n(540 Mbit/s) is faster than the standard hardline solution (Cat5e/100 Mbit/s)!

Yes. My husband and I have highspeed dsl through Bellsouth. It is linked directly to my computer and we went to Walmart and spent 50.00 on a Linksys wireless-G 2.4 GHz broadband router. so that he can have highspeed wireless for his laptop. You should be able to purchase it through your cable or phone company
