He seriously needs to drop some pounds.. it's just sad to see a once upon a time marvel go out with a whimper... He needs to get his act together... but who knows... after all, we all have to realise that footballers are human too... the man probably has some worries on his plate (no pun intended).. but i'm not making any excuses for him. He really needs to sharpen up!

yeah of course he sucks..considering the fact that he scored two goals in today's game, and he needs one more goal to set a FIFA record that PELE holds currently..most goals scored in a world cup. For society to think a player sucks because he gains wait is so typical, next time you gain a couple pounds maybe you will get fired from your job, only thing is you don't make 60 million dollars...and don't have a personal trainer who can help u get those pounds off in a blink of an eye. The day I think Ronaldo sucks will not be because of his weight.

He definitely gained weight. I think someone said that he's like 20-something pounds over the weight he should be. This has only affected his ability to run up and down the field though. Look how he performed today. He is still an amazing scorer. Two of them today. He is tied for first place now for All Time World Cup scorer.

it's just you. he scored 2 goals today and is brazil's main goalscorer AND is now the joint leading goal scorer in world cup history.
I do agree with you that he's gained weight, and maybe robinho should start and ronaldo come off the bench, when the opposition is tired... he still has the skill to play well.

he's not like the top performer as he was b4, but as with age, everyone's performance level declines. Therefore it is not totally his fault. But he's still pretty good as he showed us in today's match against Japan.

I wouldn't say he sucks, I'd just say he hasn't been playing well. I bet if he got back into shape he'd be great.

I take it; you did NOT see him tonight, against Japan?
I have said it time and time again (and He always proves me right!)... If you right off Ronaldo... You are righting off your team!
" 'RON' is different class "!!!
