I was just curious of the word "putted" because i often hear this from our Instructor.

putted is only in golf, you put something down, you have put somethingdown, you will put csomething down, its one of those words that doesn't change because of these

The only book defination for "putted" is a light golf stroke made on the putting green in an effort to place the ball into the hole. Put is past tense.

Putted is not the past tense of put. Use put instead. Your class mates are teasing you because it makes you upset.

Put is past tense also. Putted is what you do in golf, or just stuff around the house, nothing major, just putting around.

To me, I think it would be no change.

Present: Put it there please.

Past: I put it the table last week.

My ear says put.

it remains the same....the past tense of put is put.
