I hate hormonal methods because my body is too sensitive to them. My boyfriend doesnt like condoms, and I know that I do not want children anytime soon... if ever..
Maybe one day, but the thought of giving birth terrifies me!

I have an IUD, and I love it. If you have no religious or moral obligations, I suggest you talk with your OB/Gyn about this. You should be in a monogamous relationship, and ideally have had at least one child. I have no children, but I persuaded my doctor to let me have one anyway. It does hurt when they put it in, and you have cramping for about 24 hours. Then it's great. The IUDs that are used today do have a hormonal component that does prevent ovulation, in addition to preventing implantation.

IUD's scare me. I have heard of too many cases of faulty products which have caused permanent scarring leaving the woman unable to conceive or carry to full term.

Have you tried the injections? I have a few friends who are like you and have struggled with various doses of pills and implants who swear the best thing they ever did was give the injections a go.

In my opinion, IUD is a form of abortion. I mean, if you do conceive, the IUD scrapes the lining of your uterus, causing a miscarriage.

I would never use an IUD.

An IUD *does not* work by scraping the uterus. It works by making your body think it's not hospitible to conception.

I wouldnt use it. I have a friend who used one of those and she still got pregnant. Hers was supposed to last for I don't know how long, but it only lasted like 4 months.

an iud does not prevent conception, it prevents the egg from attaching in the uterus, so it is sort of like an abortion.

always felt like something was poking the tip of my equiptment while i was pleasuring my partner. perhaps, it was the depth of the penetration (although i was told this isn't supposed to happen.). everytime, regardless of partner. in a couple of cases, i didn't know that they were using one, but guessed as soon as i was fully inserted.
