it would sure be interesting, but i think it's not a very smart idea.. it would be way too hard for goal keepers and easier to score from farther back in the field. i think enough goals are scored as it is.

If you want more goals, you will have to extend them at least 10 feet. It is a shame that profesionals players, making the kind of money they make, can't kick worth a dime. If you don't believe me, do what I did. Keep track of how many balls find the goal. And I don't mean score, just go inside the posts. 5 out of 20. And that's for all the teams in the world cup.

The goals have been extended already, some years ago. Soccer is the most interesting sport, that is why the whole world is watching and it is call the world cup and the whole world participates. Not like the world series, please.

nope, i like it as it is now... look at how many goals have been scored in this world cup. you need to give the goalkeepers a chance too... the whole ideas is that goals are rare, so games are close.

No way. That would only make it less exciting. More goals would mean less emotion/ celebration/ dissappointment when a goal is made. And that's the best part.

I think 8 yards is wide enough, and an extra foot probably wouldn't make much of a difference.

It would be more unfair for the short people (like myself). You shouldn't have to be 6'6" to be a goalie. XD
