Forward those harrased email messages to the customer service of your email service providers (such as Yahoo or MSN) or police and ask them to take care of that issue for you thru some legal actions, or you can also terminate that email account and create a new one if possible. Good luck.

Harassment in any form is subject to legal implications.
If someone is causing you duress, contact the police and describe your problem, they'll be able to help.
Failing that, you could procure a new email address, or attempt to block the email used to harass you.

Unfortunately there is not a law yet. Hopefully once Americans elect some wise and non-corporate-fed reps, then we'll see a law making that illegal.

Yeah, it's illegal, but ya know...why do you keep opening mail from that sender? Many email programs now have ways to filter mail that comes from a particular address or sender...it gets deleted automatically.
That way at least you won't have to see them anymore...
