Yes, sometimes. First of all... the standard prescription is only one pill, however over 70% of women need two pills to get rid of the infection. Also, you should be checked again about a week or so later to be sure that it is gone as it does not work on some types of yeast infections.

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:

Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

If you are getting yeast infections, it is safe to say that you have an overgrowth of canidida albicans. I would highly suggest you take some measures to thwart its progress. I am sure you have been on antibiotics at some point in your life... and they probably gave the canidida the upper hand. Antibiotics kill ALL the bacteria living in your body. The bad thing....... your body does have good bacteria. So now you have a prime enviroment for the yeast to take over. I would suggest that you go on a canidida cleanse and take probiotics. You can also eat yogurt, but get one that has more than one active culture. Here is a link to some good probiotics....
