I'm taking a summer art class and the theme is fantacy. I need to draw a mermaid. I was hoping I could find pictures on the internet to give me ideas. Unfortunately, I found mermaids that are ''not coverd up all the way'' or are not appropriate for the class. PLEASE HELP!!!

Disney's "The Little Mermaid" (Ariel wears seashells); It's sequel "Return to the Sea" features Ariel's daughter who wears a short sleeve shirt. You don't have to watch the movies if you don't want to, just work off the pictures on the boxes.

I would try veer.com or go to the yahoo kids page and type in mermaid and see what comes up. Since it is a kids site most likely it should be okay.

Look up some promotional pictures from the movie "Splash". She's not wearing a shirt but her hair covers up anything inappropriate for the class.

You could cover her up with a bikini top made of seashells.
