amanda the olympics are every 4 years, same as the winter olympics. also, the opening ceremony for the 08 olympic games got more viewers than the world cup final i believe anyway, its important to have the facts before you knock the olympics compared to footy i do think the world cup is somethin special, as special as the world cup. Now, why would you want to degrade the olympic games compared to pro football? the olympics have been contested since ancient times compared to football which is the [ast 150 years or so. Im a football fan but who WOULDNT want to play than watch? watching does get boring any1 can admit that id rather get playing a competitive pickup game. thats love for the game. supporting a club team you have no affiliation with and have never seen a live game of isnt a "completely different story" representing your nation in the olympics is as special as representing your country at the World Cup

Yes they are on the even years oppistate to the summer olympics or on the same year as the winter olympics. The next world cup will be played 4000 years before the date you have there in South Africa
