I don't know any Turkish people and am not prejudice against them however I see no reason why they should be any more special than the rest of us and be exempt from being prejudice against, my father taught me an important lesson as a child, someone in this world hates you for who you are and if the whole world was christian, and jesus christ himself came down from heaven in front of everyone and you saved his life and found the cure for the common cold, they will still hate you no matter how perfect you are you are filth, sh%t on their shoe is better than you, and this is their miserable problem in their miserable world, not your problem and you dont give a sh%t what ***.holes like that think ever, do not give away your power or accept other people's poison , and my friend you should heed these words of wisdom.

For the same reason that they have prejudices against any other nationality/race. Fear of the unkown. Many people don't like change or being around something that is outside what they know and understand.

I am not one of those types of people, though. Turkey has contributed many wonderful things to the world, and is a beautiful country.

I am not sure;
Let me guess, perhaps they are Christian Armenians who lost family during the holocaust during W.W.1 Perhaps they are Greeks that are reading their history. Maybe they are Greek (Christian), Cypriots that had to move because of the civil war, ot even lost family members when Turkish forces moved in.
Maybe that person is one of the rare people that has studied Meditarranean history and has learned that one and a quarter million Christians were kidnapped by Corsairs (working in and for the Ottoman Empire), over a period of 400 years. These people were enslaved. The men were worked to death and thrown into the ocean and some lucky girls ended up in harems. (even England, Ireland and one time Iceland, were raided for slaves.)
Of all of the above assertians you will most probably call them infidel lies (I call them facts, that I can back up with reliable texts) Accusations made by a raving Crusader).
Recently, some Jews have been blown up in Turkish Synagogues.
Maybe those are some of the reasons that some people mistrust and are terrified of Turks and other Muslims.
But that is ridiculous. 9/11 was perpetrated by Jews to inflame public opinion against Turks and Muslims.
Yeah right.

Because some of them wear their temper up their sleeve and go googoo over very silly things.
Have you ever seen what happens if their soccer team loses? The winning team has to be escorted back to the Istanbul airport under heavy police protection and there have been many injuries even to the athletes all because of a simple soccer game!

But there are idiots in every country...
