There really is no way to actually PROVE that we exist. We exist to ourselves, because of our five senses and the senses of others we can prove to ourselves that we exist. But if you are thinking on a much more general level, how do we really know if anything exists? It literally does come right down to those five senses, and really, I think that it would be possible for something much more advanced than us to be able to imitate that. I mean if you think about it, how many times have you had a dream where you could feel things, smell the air, taste something, I know I have. How do we know that's not real, because we wake up from it... well what if we are all in some dream state waiting to wake up? How do we know that colors really are how we see them, have you ever tried to describe one? How do we know a lot of things? We really don't, everything is just based on our experiences. Its just one of those things to think about.

You can argue till you are blue in the face but according to this or that it just can be proven so don't even waste your time with it. the only was to solve that problem is when they ask you to prove that you exist you say to them the real question is can you prove that we don't exist. other than that you will be fighting forever.

How do we prove anything exists? By sight, sound, touch, taste, smell, and faith. As the first five are on a time delay, rely on the brain to process, and are highly suseptible to interference (i.e. drugs), only faith is left. So if I stop believing in my existence, do I cease to be? Or is it the faith of others that keeps me here? Am I the dreamer or the dream?

not all of me... :(
To begin we must define existance. "The fact or state of continued being" and since we do not continue forever, or even a long period of time compared to the universe or to god, then I must say that one cannot. Unless you can define something else as existing. Lets say we can define the sun as existing, we know it exists because we can see the light, we have theories about the rotation of the earth, and the rays that give the northern lights, but we know we can see the light. it is a fact.
Sun=true because of visibility
I can see my nose
my nose exists

It's an invalid question... To prove something assumes: that there's a universe, that you are part of it -- complete with a brain and the epistemological tools to conjure up a proof. Your existence is axiomatic.

We don't have to PROVE anything...if someone thinks we don't exist it is their loss.
