Try a website like www.kayak.com that allows you to search several airlines and websites all at once to determine which will be the cheapest. It's a great resource, and you can search by times of arrival and departure, and different dates. Since you are coming from Nigeria, it also would be wise to check African airlines sites. Try maybe South African Airways (www.saa.co.za), or these that are listed as Nigerian airlines:

-Aero Contractors
• Albarka Air
• Aviation Development Company
• Bellview Airlines
• Chanchangi Airlines Nigeria
• Nigeria Airways
• Overland Airways

I also found this information off of www.travel.state.gov:

"Most Nigerian airlines have aging fleets, and maintenance and operational procedures may be inadequate to ensure passenger safety. Domestic passenger airliner crashes in October and December 2005 resulted in numerous deaths. Because international flights tend to meet higher safety standards than domestic Nigerian flights, travelers should attempt to get direct international flights to/from their Nigerian destination, rather than transiting another Nigerian city such as Lagos. For domestic travel between Lagos, Port Harcourt and Abuja, the U.S. Government encourages its employees to use Virgin Nigeria Airlines or Aero Contractors. "

Hope this helps! Good luck!

Firstly, where are you presently?

If in Nigeria, do you have the visa or legal document to travel to the US?

If you answer yes to the above, then you could either go to a travel agent or any of the airlines like British Airways, Air Frances, Lufthansa, Virgin Atlantic etc to purchase a ticket. Also take note that no airline currently flies directly to the US from Nigeria; they connect to other airlines to do.

All the best

Go to any local airport/ travel agent and make enquiries. You can get a straight ticket to U.S. (no stops) or a ticket that requires a couple of stops. It does cost a lot of money. You might want to shop around. Some airlines are cheaper that others. I would use Google. Google does magic!

I recommend you go to a travel agency. There's no direct flights to US from Nigeria, but some airlines offers connecting flights through their hub airport. You can contact airlines directly and ask them, but a travel agent is always best.

Come visit us in merry England, Lil G! Use your inter-US tickets in simple terms to get available on the tarmac. even if, once airport officials are in the different case engaged - e.g; waving in a huge airplane it truly is not common to park - right away stow your self away contained in the shipment carry of a "Blighty Flights" air-airplane. you'll have an uncomfortable 10 hours or so among the packing crates and cattle, even if it will all were truly worth it once you're the following with us cheery Englanders - swilling warmth beer and Morris dancing the evening away like a bally close by!

Yeah that is not easy you probably need a travel agent or can try to buy a ticket at the airport or if you got your visa ask the people at the embassy to help you.
