All peak or extraordinary experiences make you feel very alive, whether it is about fear, elation or anger.
But I particularly regard orgasm as the most relevant experience in this respect, for a series of reasons:
1. It is extremely pleasurable.
2. It is not only physical, it engages the whole of you.
3. It doesn't last very long, but the shorter it is, the more intense it feels.
4. You want to make it last as long as possible. You want to repeat it, but you possibly can't do so, because each orgasm is a single and unique experience.
5. It often connects you with another person, and life in my opinion is about connecting with other people. Some people go on to say that orgasm can make you connect with the divine.
6. It has not necessarily to do with love, but it could be a foundation for or an expression of love.
7. It is necessary for the well-being and mental and physical health of both women and men.
8. It is somehow linked to death, too. The French call orgasm "la petite morte" (the little death). After an orgasm, you can really feel as if you were "dying", or at least leaving the rational world, and it seems you wouldn't mind. You could take anything, even death.
Another decisive moment that makes you feel most alive is being born. It happens only once in your life and it seems you are not much aware of it.

When I'm under a lot of stress. Today I filled out all my FAFSA stuff with a college priority deadline March 1st. I got it in and the events that unfolded until I completed it blew me away and really made me feel alive

I have been married three times, dated dozens of people.
At forty years old I met my significant other.
We absolutely clicked from the moment we spoke two years ago and we have never slept apart since.
She just has to kiss me and it is better then any second I have ever lived.
That is when I feel most alive or just after I eat a whole freaking load of belgian chocolate.

When I've just placed my fabrics in a very eye pleasing display.
I get the physical rush of lifting some incredibly heavy weights
and the joy of aesthetic perfection.

Once I've reached REM sleep and that hot babe at my office starts to take off her clothes and then my wife taps me on my shoulder and asks me if I took the trash out! Damn, so hard to fall back asleep!
