well it's ok if u have cool parents.... i got w/ my guy at age 15 he was 20 at the time....... and i ended up marrying him.... i'm now 20.... who knows he may be the one 4 u.... best of luck =D

Which are you, the guy or the girl?
It doesn't matter how "mature" the 16 year old is - she's still in high school.
I think another question should be how "mature" is he? Exactly what could a 22 year old guy have in common with a 16 year old girl. Why can't he find someone closer to his own age to date.

I think that she or he is too young. It's not bad if your mature and know what your getting in to. But personally I think that he or she is too old to be seeing a 16 year old. I mean your in high school and the 21 or 22 year old is about to graduate from college. I think the 16 year old should wait until he or she knows a little more about life.

it seems weird at this time because one is a grown-up and the other is not. As long as nothing illegal is involved, it's OK. It sounds bad saying "I'm 16 going out with a 21 yo' but just think about when u r 20. 20 and 25 doesn't sound so bad

Yes, it is because he knows more about certain sexual things and has experienced more than her. The likelihood that he has had more sexual partners than her is quite high and could pass along STDs or unwanted pregnancy.

Also, a 16 year olds experiences and a 21-22 year olds experiences are QUITE different. Be careful.

I think everyone here has a good point. Older men can't have a challenging relationship with someone younger who hasn't experienced life like they have, plus for most 16 yr old you would probably have to sneak around to see him, I know trust me and my parents weren't nice when they found out.... It is a bad thing for now stick to someone closer to your own age, at least you won't just have sex in common.

i was about 16 when i began dating my sons father, he was 24, here is how it ended, he began beating me and abusing me and after i finnaly left him he is still obsessed with me, not a good idea, older guys only want one thing from younger women whether you are mature or not and that is control ,sex and more control, just please be carefull and know how do look for the signs that things could turn out very bad for you. I mean think about it, why isnt he dating someone his own age? keep your head clear and dont be blind

there is nothing intrinsically wrong.Some boys are precocious.Moreover this adolseence and teen age is a period of transformation called the period of pimples. When he pimples subside wth growing age this attraction for the opposite sex become more even Case should be taken that those who have past the pimple mark do not try to take unfair advantage of those who have yet to reach the hurdle.In such cases it will be indiscretion.

Yes, It is a bad thing. It is illegal if you get really "with" this guy. You should find someone your age. The older person probably doesn't even love you. You never know.....you may not know them as well as you think. You should find someone your age.

I did it and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone that young. Even if the person doesn't pressure you to do stuff you might not be ready to do (and I'm not just talking sexual, though that's a big part of it), you are going to do it anyhow thinking that's what he/she wants, and you're just not going to be ready for it ~ regardless of how mature you are. But, hey, it's your life!
