COLD TURKEY is what I did, I waited until a
weekend when My Wife & Kids were gone away
I locked myself up in the house,and sweated it
out. When they came home I was going on 72
hours. I took a couple of days off from work,and
stayed to my self - lived on aspirin & orange juice
took a lot of showers (hot & cold) and slept. The
next week I went to the Gym to work out,stayed
away from smokers as best I could,ran a lot. By
the second week,I was SMOKE FREE. Haven't
smoked since,But the erge was there for quite
a while. GOOD LUCK!

I used the patch. Every time I wanted a cig I ate a Mary Jane peanut butter candy. Then if I REALLY wanted a cig I tapped the patch until the desire went away (this dint really do anything but it gave me something to do)
Once you stop associating the act of smoking with the creving you can stop the patch, like a month to six weeks

if you live with someone else tell them whenever they catch you smoking you will have to pay them 20 dollars. That is what my dad did and me and my sister caught him afew times. He quit smoking. Or wear a rubberband on your wrist and whenever you are about to reach for a cigarett snap the ruberband.
