Why do some people have problems with interracial dating?

If you don't like dating outside your race then don't, but why do some poeple harass those that do?

I feel great about it! I really don't mind interracial dating. I think its beautiful when people can express their feelings and not bow to the status que placed on us by society. People forget the culture of america and so it seems, there isn't what they would describe a "problem" with this situation, They choose not to address it, well the "problem" is people being color blind, to the specifics of the word, BLIND TO THE COLORS AROUND YOU. They are unwilling to accept them and hence they are not there or you are blind to them. I don't believe in color blindness, its ignorance, it needs to change, be aware of the wonderous variety around you and accept it. I Think its extremly interesting to learn about other people's ways of life. I think its really sad that people of any race can simply 'dis' others becuase they are of any color.

My guess would be upbringing.

When I was young, all I ever heard were insults about black people and Chinese, and a few others that I probably didnt even know who they were or what the names meant.

I grew up, discovered the bible, and actually read it, then reread it, and started different studies.

I learned that GOD made all of us, we are all descendents of Noah, and his sons, so no matter our skin tones, we are all the same.
And no, the mark on Cain couldnt have been his skin tone, or else he would have been the only black man ever to live. The mark did not extend to his wife or offspring.

If i had been left just to my upbringing, I could see myself a sad person, putting down other skin tones, for what , I guess to make my self feel better, but I have no idea how that makes one person feel better about themselves by putting someone else down.

well linz....thats a great question! hmm id have to say it has alot to do with ur upbringing. alot of red necks were raised to be ''red necks'' yes its not right but thats life, and i believe theres nothing wrong with interracial dating because thats where the most beautiful people come from, parents of different races! God is rewarding us for looking past a persons race into their heart. unfortunatley not everyone is blessed with the education that we are blessed with.

I dont like interracial dating, however, I dont force my opinions on others. If you dont like it, okay, if you do thats okay too. Its sad though when people harass others because of it, people are gonna do what they want, and calling them names or acting violent towards them arent gonna help the situation.

It's up to the person if they want to date out of the race. There are too many people out there that are still racist

Because it kills your race, you heritage, your history, your family, your kids. It not just about you, because you date, marry and have kids
you start a new race and for what, think what if you were a mix breed and people dated you, but would not want to have kids with you because what would those kids be.

because with white males all the white girls date the black guy and then we have no one to date and we dont really want to go out with a black girl it also isnt right for the kid because when i was in school the mixed kids always got made fun of

Because they are closed minded and scared.
In most cases when they are in that situation in their mind they are going back to what they were taught as a child.
