Im gonna be camping in garner state park.
It is near uvalde Tx.
There is lots of shade but will it survive with the heat ?

If it's going to be very warm where you're camping, I'd find alternative accomodations for your guinea pig. They don't like too much heat. If it's the weather were cooler, I'd say go for it. Just make sure you have lots of food, water, and a cage. And watch out for other people's pets like cats and dogs. They may try to get at your pet.

Don't do it. There are TOO MANY things to get him in a state park. If he were to get out he could be a quick meal for a hawk, owl, snake etc. The stress of moving and all is an issue. The heat isn't as big of a thing as the chance of getting eaten. REALLY not recommended - and you'll be surprised how small of a space a snake needs to get in. He won't be able to get out after eating but it's an easy captive meal...too many things can go wrong. Leave him safely at home

id worry more about the stress to the animal in moving it than about the heat. Guiena pigs are easily stressed, you could cause it to go into shock and die.
best leave your friend at home.

most parks do not let you bring your pets with you. do you have family/friends who can take care of it for you while you're away? your guinea pig might not be able to handle the new environment, not to mention all the insects/pests that will be attracted to its food

I think it would be okay as long as you find it a nice shady spot and add some ice to its water to help keep it cool.
