it amazes me of some of the answer,s you can get when you ask a question on here,,i have done this for a living for 35 yrs,,and some of the suggestion,s i have seen on here are unreal,,some of them don't even pertain to the problem,s people are having,,the problem your having,,if it came all the sudden would indicate you have blown a fuse because both of the item,s you mentioned,,most likely work off the same fuse,,in time the fuse will blow,,even if you dont have a problem,,they just get old,,from constant voltage passing through them,,check this first,,as it it the cheapest to do,,my uncle has a caddilac and his done the same thing,,while he was on vacation,,lucky for him he found an honest mechanic,,and it only cost him 3 buck,s to get fixed good luck with this problem,,i hope this help,s.

Can you still drive your car? Yes. The same mechanism that is used for controlling the ABS system is also used to implement traction control; if one is broken, I'm not surprised that the other is as well.
Is it safe to drive your car? Probably yes. People very rarely get into situations where ABS turns on, and right now your car is essentially behaving as if it did not have ABS or traction control. There are lots of cars on the road that do not have, and never had, ABS or traction control; those cars are not unsafe, and neither is yours. You will, however, need to drive more carefully, as you no longer have these safety devices to help keep you out of trouble if you drive aggressively.
However, you have a problem with the braking system, and you don't want to ignore it. Drive it to a dealership right away; they can diagnose it. You don't necessarily want to have it fixed there, as it will be more expensive than a non-dealer mechanic (most likely), but it's a complicated system and other mechanics might not have the tools or experience to fix it. So start at the dealer and go from there, but you likely don't need to have it towed.
Caveat: if you're nervous about driving it in this condition, don't drive it. You should always err on the side of caution and exercise your own best judgement; don't blindly rely on information from strangers like myself, no matter how well-intentioned they might be.

If the amber ABS indicator light on your dash is on, it means the ABS computer in your car sensed a problem with your brakes and turned off the traction control.
As long as the light is on, you don't have traction control or ABS brakes, but your normal brakes are probably operating perfectly fine. It's all right to drive the car the way it is--you just have to use a different braking technique when you stop suddenly or on wet surfaces (manually pump the brake pedal as quickly as you can), to prevent your wheels from locking up. Otherwise, it won't affect how your car drives.
I would recommend getting your car to a competent Cadillac mechanic to have the brakes systems inspected and diagnosed as soon as possible. You may have a problem with your regular hydraulic brakes, though it isn't likely.

The ABS light being on indicates a problem in the Anti Lock Brake system. This system is what the traction control uses to operate. There fore you have a problem in the ABS and your traction is disabled due to it... Go to a Cadillac Dealer and have them find out what turned on your ABS light.... Probably a wheel speed sensor on your particular application... Good Luck...
P.S. if you are in Kansas City, email me & I can set you an appointment at the dealer I work at.

Unless you are a competent auto electrician or know one then you will need a garage to sort this for you. Be aware that until fixed you have no ABS or traction control so the car is a little more unsafe than it was. You should also be aware that if you have an accident your insurers could opt not to pay out as the car is not in proper working order - they love excuses like that.

ABS is your brakes, traction control is your axle. Did you drive over a boulder? Maybe its regular maintenance. Time to check your car breaks and axle.
