Today at work some guy who follows FIFA closely mentioned that the US had been eliminated today by Ghana. He was immediately attacked by a group of dumb rednecks who don't appear to know much about soccer but are adamantly pro US. This story sounds familiar but I can't quite place it. Anywho, do you think this expert is anti American? Do you think the scores that put America in a bad light should be allowed to be aired on TV? Should we have an independent panel of judges stationed in Germany who can offer a more "American" type of objectivity?

Wow according to FOX NEWS we beat Ghanna 3 - 0.... maybe you're on to something here... I mean how can 'Merikuns feel proud of their country when rabble rousers like this guy you're talking about want to deal in facts! We should throw whatever spin on it we can to keep spirits high, like "Team USA was the best team out there... it was those damn foreign officials who took the game away from us! Damn foreign bastards!

No only the ignorant ones. I think the reason they hate and talk crap about America might be because USA always beat them in Soccer, and the whole illegal immigration debate, and its basically the whole rivalry between the two in soccer. I was born and raised in the USA by Mexican immigrants and I don't hate the USA. I am even thinking about joining the Marines or the Navy and serving this country soon. Oh and by the way I will be rooting for Mexico heheh do not call me a traitor now. I grew up watching Mexican soccer and their fans are much more passionate about the sport than the Americans are in my opinion.
