Think about what it is that you don't like about your current job, and what you do like about it (surely there's something).

Think about what you're good at, and what kind of job you'd like to have. Be realistic. If you need some kind of training or schooling to get a job you think you'd like, go after it, even if you have to stay in your current job for awhile while you get the training.

Talk to people in the type of work you think you'd like, and ask what THEY like and don't like about their jobs.

It's never a good idea to quit a job before you have another lined up--just too risky--leaving one without another and chances are --you don't find another before the bills and lack of money overpowers you and once you do get something going you are playing catchup for some time---while you grin and bear it--start your search now and look everywhere --tell your closer friends to keep a watch out for something for you and something will turn up---remember (and this is totally with you and how you've been treated where you are and whither you even care about a reference from there) to do the right thing there should always be a notice given when you've set a day as your last there--it is a courtesy that will benefit you by way of references for years to come------Good Luck

If you hate your job, why do you still work there? Find a place where you would look forward to going to and wanting to work at. Get a job that you won't hate, but don't quit this job you hate into you've found the job that you won't hate.

You can just quit...but then you should make a living (assuming), so you need to work...

If the job is new...you got to work for a while, as it is new and you dont want to appear as a job hopper on your resume...so stay for a while and start searching something new which you think is suitable for you.

You might have been working for a while, so had some considerable experience in your field, but then you might be getting bored in that field and thinking of switching careers...but that is difficult as you may have to start all over again from the scratch. well if you are financially well-off then you can do this, if not it is a difficulty....but can you live killing your heart for the rest of you life....you need to decide.

You have three choices for dealing with any conflict in your life:

1) Confront. Talk to your co-workers, your boss, HR, etc.. and tell them what you don't like and what you want.

2) Cope. Simply accept what is, shut up and keep working.

3) Leave. Make a plan to work somewhere else. That may require that you develop some more / different skills, network, send out resumes, contact an employment agency, save some money, check your finances, etc....

My request to you is to think about each of those options. What would your life be like if you chose each one? Let your intuition and your own good judgment be your guide. Before you choose ANY option, make sure you're operating in YOUR best interests, or the interests of your family.

I wish you Peace and clarity.

Look for a new job. Don't stay at a job you hate. It is a waste of time for you and your employer.

well, the choice is up to you!
a. if allowed, listen to a book on tape while working, or music - something to get mind off of the task/surroundings.
b. speak to the manager
c. threaten to quit if things don't improve
d. actually quit, and outfit yourself with a nice appliance carton, and move to a place under a viaduct -- ah, the great outdoors!
or
e. go postal (which I hope you don't do)

or maybe........the obvious? find another job?

There's a name for that... being part of the real world. Very few people are lucky enough to have a job that they enjoy and which they find fulfilling.

Start acting insane so you can get a crazy check from the government. So many are doing this and I've heard it is quite easy to do if you educate yourself on the diseases. Bipolar seems to be the most popular hoax.
