were gonna be with each other for 4 more years. if i get rejected she wont even talk to me. i need a full-proof way to break this to her

Just do it. When I run into that problem, I like to put my self say, 5 years into the future, and then I ask myself, will I regret not doing it then?
At the very least, understand that you have nothing to lose by doing this. Understand that even if you get rejected, you can at least look back and say that you gave it a go. You gave it your all. Even if it doesnt work, you tried, ran into fate, and you move on. If you dont do it, then you will always look back on the event in shame and regret.

Imagine the worst case scenario..what is the worst she could do. If she is nice...she could say one of 3 things..I don't like you that way or I feel the same way..or why don't we see what happens.
The worst thing she could do is laugh. but she won't laugh will she.
Maybe you are breaking up with this girl. The worst thing that will happen is she yells and cries. Maybe she wants to break up also.
The worst thing you could do is not say anything, because when you are old you will look back and regret it.

Build up your confidence and tell her.After you tell her ask her if she wants to go out with you.if so great if not well there are more fish in the sea.Plus,if after you tell her she denys your going out question its not like your ever gonna see her again.

get a pretty little card, write your feelings inside it, and leave it as a surprise in her car, or in her mailbox or something. If she doesn't' respond, then you've got your answer without embarrassment.

I would think about it, has she shown any signs that she likes you? If so...Think, if you were her, and she likes you she would want you to tell her that you like her, It may be confusing but just think about it. And I'm sorry if this doesn't make any sense to you:(
