Judging by the timing of your question and virgin status I assume you are a Socceroos supporter. We play Italy 27 Jun 00:30 (just after midnight -Tuesday Morning/Monday night)
From now on it is knockout with penalty shoot outs if there is no result (hopefully without Kalac) !

I don't know what team you are rooting for but final 16 is just like a regular knock out round where the winner moves on while the loser is eliminated. If it ends a tie after regulation, there is two 15 minute periods followed by a shootout if necessary.

I don't really understand your question...if you are talking about the US team, then they were eliminated this morning. They get to go home.
