i have had a crush on my 2nd cousin for 25yrs and i can't help it.
it all started when we were 5 and he used to kiss me.
actually he would kiss me everytime i'd see him but that stopped at 8yrs old.

There is a reason why they call it "kissing cousins". In 26 out of the 50 United States, it is legal to marry your FIRST cousin. Second cousins, first cousins once removed, and any other cousins except first cousins can marry in all 50 states and every country in the world. Unless your family has a history of genetic disorders such as hemophilia, crush on guilt free.

Ahh, so what. A crush is a crush. Second cousins are distant, not like your brother or something. As long as you dont' act on it, who cares? Why beat yourself up for something so silly? Maybe he's a cute, funny, warm and wonderful person and you just can't help it. Don't get so bent. Stop dwelling on it. you're doing nothing wrong. Just laugh about it.

yes, you are a mess. dude, seek help. if your fantasizing about hooking up with your cousin then something is definitely wrong. And yeah, it matters if the cousin is only a 2nd cousin. that's gross and plus your family is just gonna start with the crazy talk.

a 2nd cousin is still related, but it probably stems from just the familiarity of having someone already care for.

Well i dunno what to say except my sis married like her 8th cousin which is a bit farther. is he a cousin by blood or marriage? i think it kinda makes a difference lol.
