BASE Jumping - BASE stands for Building, Antennnae, Span and Earth - these being the fixed objects that masters of this incredibly dangerous sport jump from. BASE jumpers will jump with a parachute off any tall structure including skyscrapers, electrical towers, bridges and cliffs. In the past, BASE jumpers have lept from the Golden Gate Bridge, the Eiffel Tower and the Empire State Building. People who try this sport almost always end up arrested (it's not exactly legal) and some don't even live long enough to get arrested. (We told you it was dangerous.) Stick to lawn bowling.
Cool site, my kids love it!

I'll go with toe-in or power surfing. The history of this sport is littered with casualties. The beauty of a lone surfer dropping down into a 75 foot bowl, just hoping to survive the initial drop, with the hundred ton monster pursuing him at 35 miles an hour, is beyond awesome. Out here in California, we have two sites that get huge:1)Maverick's, off the edge of Half-Moon Bay in Northern California, where the annual Men-Who-Ride-Mountains
competition draws the world's best in the spring(on 24 hours notice, I might add.) and 2)the infamous Cortez' Bank, which is an underwater sea-mount that rises to within a few feet of the surface and is located approximately 200 miles off the coast of San Diego in the Pacific. This latter site was made famous in the surfing documentary, "Billabong Odyssey". Base-jumping is certainly not for the timid, but power surfers are men among boys. ---Sincerely, UCSteve

If you are talking about a sport with a ball, two choices come to mind, (1) jai a'lai, (2) the Irish sport of hurling- both have very few rules and the object, evidently, is to maim your opponent.

No, no, no, no,no. I think snow skiing! You put boards on your feet, and slide down a mountain of snow, with no brakes. And if you don't lean side to side in time, you kiss a tree, or a rock.....and your butt good-bye.
