do opposites attract(really?)?

say you are a bookworm who has indeed no social life whatsoever,& what attracts you is someone who is the exact opposite of you?e.g:gurl(bookworm)-guy(likes to hang out),(gurl(serious)-guy(fun).......

Occasionally. My grandmother was the artistic type, my grandfather a science type, but they made it work especially when they had their own pottery business (1940s)...she did the art work, he mixed the pigments she used for the paints. ; )

I don't believe that opposites attract....i believe we are all looking for someone to understand and appreciate us, and that only comes from someone who's like us...
if we try to figure out the kinna person we wanna spend our whole life with, then we'll realize that they are exactly what we aspire to be someday....they are not the opposite, but people who resemble us in so many way.....
try this, write down all the characteristics you want in a person....then you'll realize that what i'm saying is true

Sure, for a while. We all look for someone to complete who we are not (or think we are not), but eventually the differences between two true "opposites" can become problems if we are not really complete to begin with.
