If a person doesn't have the third person( Jesus Christ) in the relationship, I can see why and how any marriage would go down the tubes.

It could be that he is just bored w/ the relationship and wants to move on w/ his life w/ something more exciting. The possibility that he is seeing another man or woman comes to mind. Also it could just be that the marriage is just a big show. A lot of ppl act as tho everything is ok around other ppl but when no one's around it may be a different story. Many possibilities here.

ok, i'm married for 17 years and it's been one big roller coaster ride. When people are married for a long time they get used to each other. Doesn't mean they don't love each other but people change. Physical appearances change, some put on weight and others show aging. Some men need to feel that they have a trophy on their arm and when their wives appearance changes they look elsewhere. These men are shallow and seem to forget that they look different also.

Midlife crisis usually brought on by the thought of impending mortality. Not enuff time to do all those things he thought he was going to do. Starts out with gold chains, motorcycles, sports cars, and ends up with young bimbett. After the fact he will realize the mistake, but it takes time and experience. Have a midlife of your own, that might wake him up.

Things might not have been great in his marriage - they may have just been putting on a show for friends and family. The other possibility is that he has a woman on the side and/or he is a selfish guy.

Yeah, my mom divorced my stepdad after 19 years of marraige, left me grown with out a father(he was the only father I'll ever have) and I'm still devastated 7 years later. I'm 29, I need to get over it. I think it was mid-life crisis. She was getting ready to turn 40,have her 3rd grandson, etc. Pre menopause. That is still my only conclusion.

It sounds like he has become bore with his marriage..And wants to tip toe in the bedroom of anothers..Alot of men are mainly concern with their needs and demands..They want a mommy to take care of them..But when they get bore or feed-up with whats going on for alot of years,They want to move on to a different mommy and have know concern of who he has to hurt or run over..They will repete this cycle again..His wife is better of without mommys boy..She needs to find someone who will treat her with respect and care about her feeling and needs..

It is possible that there is no love, even if things appear to be great, without love it is hard to have a marriage.

Because some men are idiots and want to have their cake and eat it too. Some just don't realize that what they have is the best.
