You're going to have your baby soon. Have you seen your OB/midwife recently? Call him/her to check on when they want you to report to your hospital.

You are starting the process of labor, I would call your OB/GYN and ask what they would like to do. If you are starting to have contraction that are hurting, not just the belly tighting, like they feel like little cramps, just go to the hospital. But if no contraction you are fine I lost my plug at 34 weeks and my water broke and 39 weeks. After the plug is lost you usually go into labor anywhere from 24 hours to 3 days. But there are cases like me that it did nothing.

Your body is preparing for childbirth. You won't necessarily go into labor immediately; I think it just depends. I lost mine about two weeks before I was due, and I started having mild contractions (though at the time they felt somewhat uncomfortable). However, I didn't have my son until I had a c-section due to preeclampsia the day before he was due. My doc said I probably would have been pregnant for another week or two if they hadn't taken him early.
You should be seeing your OB once a week now, so just tell them at your next visit, or if you feel more comfortable, call them and let them know to see what their procedure is.
Good luck, and enjoy your little one once he or she finally does come out!

What do you mean you plug is leaking? If fluid is gushing out of you then your water could be broken. If you are feeling mucousy discharge -thats normal. Pregnant women can have lots of discharge. Your plug can come out and its nothing to worry about- You need to go to the hospital if you are ctxing, water breaks, bleeding, Decreased movement, etc
