I think they should be given jobs in the NSA or CIA devising virus/trojan horses for the government to use on our enemies. I heard that before desert storm started we intercepted a printer on its way from Germany to Iraq and planted a virus in it to disable Iraq's air defense systems right before the first attack hit. This is the warfare of the future and we need the best minds working on it, even if they are disturbed sociopaths.

They should be given prison time and no access to computers in that time. Perhaps if and when they are reformed and let go, they should be required to write computer programs that will do some good to society...perhaps educational programs to help children.

Send them to live with the Amish. See what they think of life without ANY technology. Then they might...might learn to appreciate it. Then throw them in jail without any computer access and make them pay back everyone who they stole from or killed their computer.

that german teen kid a while back did over a billion dollars in damage with his worm (cant remember which one, was it mydoom?). anyway people that do that kind of damage should be thrown in prision for life, not just get a year or two.
