I have tried Vonage, Verizon, Dnet, and Smoky Mountain Internet. I am pulling my hair out trying to work online with a dial-up connection.,

check to see if you can get embarq, its a DSL company with sprint.

If you are only able to get dial-up, i recommend localnet.com, its $12.95 and you get 6x express. I've been using it for years. However for a good speed, you need to have a good computer. I have a 100Gig 512Ram Emachines computer, which only costed me $535 with tax and all give or take.
