I think it's dangerous for someone to feel that way. That's when suicides happen.

Yes. It is possible to join with another so completely that you are both in essence one person, and at that point your partner's welfare becomes more significant than our own. There have been many examples of altruistic behavoir to the point of sacrificing one's own life for another during the more contentious times of history such as the Jewish Holocaust or the eastern European Theater of World War II when several countries were overun by Nazis and Communists alternately.

I think you can love your partner as much as you love your own life - especially if you are married, because 2 lives have become one life.

Some people can actually feel that way. If that persons life is going bad then yea they can love someone more then their own life.

Yes, I love my wife more than anything I have ever loved anyone or anything. I know that if it was my life or hers I would give my life with no hesitation,and she feels the same about me.I handfasted with her for eternity, and honestly feel that strongly for her. But if this love is one sided it can be dangerous for you. My realationship is rare, so as long as the communication between you both is open and honest, congratulations.
