Evolution is a theory. It is clearly and regularly refered to as such. Creationism is also a theory. This means neither has been proven. Although I can provide findings and facts that make the theory of evolution more plausible (such as the "mutation" of a simple cold virus on a yearly basis to render it immune to last years antibodies), I cannot provide absolute proof. But creationists talk as if scientists are unable to budge from evolution. Every scientist in the world will agree that the theory of evolution is false when someone presents evidence of such. And every scientist in the world will agree that creationism is true once someone produces solid evidence that proves it. It is the doctrine of science that they don't seem to understand.

I don't know, and thats ok. I don't have to imagine or invent a reason or explanation for something that I cannot explain. I simply live my life with enjoyment and kindness, and that will provide all the satisfaction I need.

NOTE: my example shows the most basic kind of evolution. Survival of the fitest. When a virus becomes impervious to a vaccine, it is because a few of the buggers are already immune. But because your antibodies kill those that are not, the other (the ones that are different) survive and grow and replicate and transmit to others.

yes as many religious zelots do not want to apressiate the way science works... scientists dont just read in a book like its dogma... they come up with a theory or hypothosys, and then test it. skepticism is what rules science... if you have something you want to prove, you need lots of evidence.. and then others also have to gather evidence and present it before it becomes proven as a law. The reason evolution is still a theory goes to show the true beauty of the scientific prosses, untill it is difinativly proven it will stay as that. Religon on the other hand just tells... they dont test, they dont scrutinize, they say tell how it is... how is that a more trustworthy system? sure I could say that a majical lepricon that lives in the trees makes the oxigen we breath, but I would be totally wrong, why becuase I just made it up!!! I didnt test the idea, and no one else independantly verified my findings... yes evolution has some holes, but don't come along and say that a majical white robed man in the sky is a better explination! evolution is the best theory out there, and it has been verified in many ways that lead alot of scientist to beleive its true... and again the true beauty of science is that if somthign better comes along, it will be soon adopted, unlike religious zelots who will not change their mind if the truth was right in front of their face!

and to the man that said evolution violates laws! it does not violate laws of thermodynamics you douch! damn you fools piss me off! If it clearly violated a law it would have been rejected long ago, unless there was evidence as to why this was true.....dont use science to back up your claims of religon you make yourself sound like an idiot! GOD violates the laws of thermodynamics!

First off, you example doesn't show evolution at all. An evolution means to create a new species. The cold virus doesn't mutate at all, it is just a simple adaptation to its environment. It is no different then if you took a African and had them live in Russia. It may take them a little time, but they would become accustomed to the climate and the people there. If they don't, they will perish. Adaptation occurs on a regular basis, why is it that the evolution of a new species has NEVER been witnessed, nor created by scientists?

The evolution theory has more flaws and has had to change itself over the years. In fact, it VIOLATES several laws of physics (including thermodynamics). Intelligent design has had zero flaws, why is that? Sure there is no way to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that there is a God and he created everything in the universe. But if there is such a being that is as omnipresent and omnipotent as God is said to be, would there be proof that we with our limited knowledge and wisdom be able to comprehend? No there wouldn't be, otherwise we ourselves could be grasp everything there is to ever know.

There is a fundamental panic if ones religion is being disproved. At this point, people get their emotions up high. When their emotions are up high their ability to reason goes low.
You cant reason with them at this point. Just try to live with them as a good Christian should.
