Lots of ideas across the curriculum:

Arts and crafts:
Make sunglasses. Use cellophane sheets and cardboard. Make sure you cut the cardboard larger than a normal pair of glasses so they won't rip easily.

Drama:
Put on a play about going to the beach or other sunny vacation destination. Use a towel and suitcase as props as well.

Science:
How do different colors affect vision? Clarity? Try yellow. Easy on the eyes? Try blue. Distortion in perception? Green. Pink. Grey, I 'believe', is the least distorting. (these are not definitive answers, just guessing.

Safety
Explain how wearing glasses and applying sunscreen is an important part of summer safety.
