Disgraceful. FIFA'S way of punishing Australia for the Kewell incident. But how high did they rise above the challenge. I never thought I could feel more proud. Anyway back to Poll. Tackle on Viduka ignored, 2 handballs by the same Croatian player ignored. Croatian player manhandles the referee during a hissy fit and is allowed to stay on the field. Brett Emerton's 2nd yellow card was a farce. The Croatian Captain allowed to stay on the field after a second yellow card and don't even try to tell me a referee is that stupid he could make a mistake like that. He ignored it and issued a 3rd yellow card. They were just the main things. What a joke. Let's see if FIFA have the guts to discipline him like they should. This only proves my case for a minimum fee for referee's with a negotiated balance after the match based on their performance. $40 000 to give a performance like that.

He needs to be spoken to by FIFA dramatically
How could he not count to 2 allowing a player to continue after he himself had given 2 yellows in this game is ludicrous. Then to get a 3rd before being sent of.
Would he be liable if this croatian player had seriously injured one of the Aussies after the 2 yellow when he should not have been on the field.
Think something Poll should ask his lawyers for future reference.
And the Hand ball to be missed new optomitrist needed I'm sure.

He is a disaster. In the Korean match, he first showed the Togolese player a red card before showing him the yellow card.
And he's supposedly the best ref from England!!!

Didn't see it, but the officiating seemed astronomically better in 2002. There seem to have been a lot of mistakes this time, even failure to give the French credit for a goal.

Yes with 5 minutes to go he lost control and gave a player a second yellow card but allowed him to stay on the field, I think FIFA will say goodbye Mr Polls your going home unlike the AUSSIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
