My vote goes for Ghana...emerging from a tough group that had Italy and the Czech's as favorites, with a possible US upset, they proved us all wrong...who's your pick??

Ghana, hands down. They were suppose to be the whipping boys in the Group of Death featuring the Italians, Czechs, and Americans. However, when the dust settled, the Black Stars actually advanced to the Round of 16.
Kudos to them.

Ghana won more then I thought they would but after seeing them today I'm not at all impressed with how they play. I'm embarrassed for the people of Africa and Ghana though, Ghana's sportsmanship through the game when they were trying to run the clock out and diving (don't argue, i saw at least 2 dives) wasn't something to be proud of and its not something I want to see in the world cup. That kind of play is for the NFL. I can't wait to see Brazil tear them up on the 27'th.

I am proud of Ghana for coming this far after everyone wrote them off. Especially the US coach, who I read said the game with Ghana is an auto 3points for them. People from Africa and Ghana do not need anyone to have embarrassment for us. If you have any embarrasment, have it for the 'top teams' who thought they could qualify without playing.

though both teams obviously had talent, they put it together better than expected. Esp. Ghana, which improved each game out, in the Cup and in the practice matches prior to the Cup.

Lol i think ghana too! they were awesome against italy the czech repub. and against the US today (though that was no surprise...sorry, but i AM a us fan but i acknowledge that we kinda sux). also that they are unexperienced with the world cup games...i think in the future they will have a real chance at winning this.

Ivory coast became a extraordinarily good team, fairly w/ drogba... it became unlucky they had such difficult opposition yet i assume it is the way it is going for placement. besides, i'm happy that they've been post on the record as extreme as could desire to be for no longer even being waiting to qualify for the around of sixteen. I kinda experience that per WC preformances, although i like Argentina, Brazil and Ghana could desire to have been basically before them... back, i like ARGENTINA, exvept the 4-0 defeat against Germany would not coach that they could desire to be basically before Brazil who lost (became it 2-0) agains the 2d place team.

Not Ghana, i think everyone over estimated the USA that is why it seems like such an upset. my vote is Ecquador. i did not expect them to move on. i thought Poland had the second spot locked. but i was wrong.

the two african sides to progress to the last 16 for me ghana foremost and ecuador for bolting into the 2nd round before playing germany so they could rest key players for the england match
