I saw on the internet a picture of a naked girl with a large outside of her vagina (lips?). I want to know if this is common, I've never seen it before.

This doesn't mean there is anything wrong. I have kind of big lips, but they re normally pretty average. But after sex, they are huge and quite swollen. This is normal, and vaginas come in LOTS of different shapes, sizes, and (blieve it or not) positions, like higher up on the body vs. more towards the back.

if there is a lot a of blood flow to the vagina the labia could become swollen

Women come in all shapes and sizes. It would only be natural that we are not all the same down there either.

everyone is different. it could be normal, and it also could be that there is something wrong. i guess it would depend on where you saw it.
