It is an epidemic, where currently the over population is within the older age groups, and the retirees. People are living longer than they used to because medicine is so advanced, and fitness is so big. We have old old people who are treated as soon as there is a small pain, or ache, and they are fine. Medicine has come a long way. But unfortunately, these young doctors, and professionals in the USA going to the colleges, and getting their PHds and MBAs are not thinking family, and getting married, or having children. Right now, there are big cities, where the economy is booming, but the parks are empty, with hardly any children around. For the ones who have children, they only have one, or two the most. There are still some states, where this is not a problem whatsoever, like UT, they still believe in large families. But NY, San Francisco, and big cities like these, where the new blood in hospitals, court rooms, white house, law firms, are not getting married or having children. It could hurt our economy tremendously because the old are getting older, and living longer,and there is no new generation growing behind them...

No, because sadly here in the U.S. most people are behind the curve when it comes to thinking about the future of the world, population control, and other people.
