Magazines are pubilseh weekly or monthly for the most part and as mentioned contain many different articles or stories contributed by many different authors. News Magazines as they have beem coined is something seen on TV, "60 minutes.. the weekly news magazine". Books are usually bound and are written by one author and one subject or story line.

A book usually tells a single story and doesnt have glossy pages and staples for a binding. Most of the time a magazine has many stories, ads and 90% of the time has glossy pages.

The source of magazines are journals gathered by journalists about the trends happen in society nowadays, while books are created / arranged / written by authors...

Therefore, it'll be a magazine if it tells you about trends happening in society and doesn't print an author's name on the cover.

magazines are mostly put together by staples or just set in there. books are put together by bindings.
