Yes, but promise you won't laugh. I swear it works, and has worked every single time (even on blonde blue eyed roofers!) and will take not only the burn out, but the pain, and will work in 12 hours or less. I've used this for over 20 years and never had it fail.

Take 1 cup milk (whole is best)
1 teaspoon salt
mix it in a glass or ceramic bowl.

Dip a soft hand towel (you know, those odd size guest towels you get in the set you never know what to do with?) or kitchen towel into the milk to soak it up, squeeze out excess if dripping and apply to the burn for 20 minutes. Re-dip the towel, squeeze, re-dip and apply to the next area for 20 minutes. Repeat as needed until every area has been covered at least once.

Not only will your skin NOT blister, the pain will be completely gone by the 2nd application, and the red will be gone 80-90% by morning. And because this is so gentle, you can use it EVERYWHERE - including areas that probably you wish had never seen the sun - and even your face :)

Getting rid of a sunburn takes time and it varies for everyone. However, you can help it Home treatment includes:
cool showers or baths
avoid creams or lotions that can hold heat inside (oil based)
drink lots of fluids
motrin or tylenol for pain
see doctor if you have blistering
stay out of the sun
if you must go out, keep sunburned areas covered
you can use OTC preps designed specifically for sunburn (to numb the pain and remove redness such as Solarcaine or aloe gel)

put some aloe vera in the fridge or freezer and then on your sunburn. My husband gets burned quite a bit in his line of work and we have a huge thing of aleo in the fridge at all times...he has great skin so his turns to a tan quickly but not all people are that lucky. As far as the redness trying taking some kind of pain reliever it may help or drop a few tablets of aspirin in a tub of luke warm water and then soak...i have heard this works..but I have never tried it.

Not in your wildest dreams! Go to a drug store get a bottle of aloe gel. Put into the freezer until real cold and slop it on! Soon as it drys - do it again. Tomorrow - put on massive gobs of a really great moisturizer.

Get your hands on some Aloe Vera lotion. Lots of it. The bes thing to do is to buy an aloe plany and use that directly. And whatever you do, do not peal off the dead skin.......that is verybad for you.

I doubt that it will go away in a day, but I have read recently that aspirin helps and my preference in ointment is hydrocortisone cream (Cortaid).
