Sweetie, not everyone goes through this. God made each of us out of His own image, so be proud of what you look like. Plus, you will continue to change and grow every year.

Not everyone goes through it, but many people do. Even a lot of celebrities, like Christina Ricci, for example, went through a period when they hated the way they looked. If you can believe it, Uma Thurman once was very insecure about her looks (when she was a teen). It's natural to feel like this when you're a teenager.
And remember that, despite what all the idiots below are saying, peoples' looks CHANGE. Scarlett Johansson? You should have seen her before she turned twenty. (Look up pictures of her in the third Home Alone movie... she was just an ordinary girl with a strange mouth). Look at her now, she was voted as the "sexiest woman" on some magazine's list. (forgot the name)

However, since of course you'll want to look beautiful and feel beautiful NOW, here are some tips:
1) Though you can't change your features, you can make yourself look prettier by looking healthy. Working out and following a good diet will keep your body fit and your skin clean. using a nice shampoo will keep your hair shiny and sleek.
2) Confidence. This is a cliche, I know. But it's true. It basically means that, whatever you feel on the inside, DON'T LET OTHERS SEE. For example, even if you think you look like crap, ACT like you think you're the most gorgeous thing on the planet (without being conceited, of course). Some examples where this sort of attitude has succeeded is with people like Paris Hilton. Paris Hilton is ugly, but many people are fooled into thinking she's hot because, let's admit it, (1) she has a great physique, (2) she dresses "well" (well, sometimes) (3) She acts like she's all that (though of course a lot of her confidence comes with her money).

You're not alone. My daughter is turning 14 and I notice that she is very insecure about her looks as well. I remember when I was a teenager I felt the same way until I started understanding what I could do to make myself feel better about how I looked. And that didn't really happen until I was way out of my teens.

There are things you can do to help improve your self image. One of them is to go get a nice haircut and ask the stylist to teach you how to style your hair. Also, think about what clothes will suit you, not just what's trendy.

And finally, relax. You will come into your own and realize that the most beautiful people have their bad days too and that a lot of it is styling. And smile. Personality is soooo important.

Everyone feels uncomfortable and unpretty sometimes. It's ok to feel that way. Use those feelings to motivate you to change, but don't do anything dangerous. And get a reality check every once in awhile...Ask the people closest to you what they really honestly think. Chances are you're not as unpretty as you think you are. Not everyone can be Angelina.

Hey. Don't beat yourself up. You're just as good a person as anyone else. Whatever it is that you see that you don't like, change it; do something about it. You're only fourteen, that's a time when you're trying to develop a sense of style that's yours. You can keep trying different things until you find what you like.
good luck:)

Sugar,, quit thinking about you,, get centered on helping other people and soon you will find you are happy and looking good.
All you need to do is paste a smile on your face until it becomes habit for you to wear it and do for others.
Soon everyone will see you as pretty and you will have forgotten all about mirrors.

You have to realize you are beautiful. The more you hate yourself, the more you criticize yourself, the more it will start to effect your health. Your insecurities are making you look outward and thinking everyone is better than you. NO ONE is better than you. God made you and you are beautiful.
